About Stan Smits

From a young age, I was drawn to technology — taking apart old family computers, televisions, and hi-fi systems, and trying (with mixed results) to put them back together. This curiosity led me to pursue a two-year technical diploma in Electronics and Communication Systems, where I gained hands-on skills and started applying the theory I had learned. My solid academic record opened the door to an engineering school, where I am currently completing my Master's degree in electronics with a focus on embedded systems — all through a hands-on apprenticeship. This apprenticeship has been a key part of my growth: I’ve led projects from start to finish — from defining requirements to schematics, PCB layout, software development, test bench creation, and production. These experiences have made me truly operational and confident in an industrial setting. I believe my journey gives me a unique balance between thinking and doing, allowing me to develop solutions that are both well-designed and practically effective.
