The line included (2) vision system controlled, pick-and-place Fanuc Robots which were new technology for the facility. Designed and implemented equipment/electrical controls replacement for an aging tobacco vacuum-based conditioning process which eliminated rework, reducing labor/utility costs and downstream processing delays. Created control plans, process flows, PFMEA analyses required for PPAP submission as a Tier 1 automotive exhaust parts supplier for the Toyota Tundra/Sequoia vehicle launches. This was critical path to qualify our new start-up facility and played an integral role in receiving the 2008 Supplier Launch Award for the Toyota Sequoia program.
