Incorporating principles of bioenergetics, yoga, shiatsu and classical voice training, Fitzmaurice Voicework® bridges the intuitive, intellectual and imaginative aspects of the voice and breath. Deeply integrated with the truth and transparency of the actor, it is suitable for both stage and screen acting. It helps performers find power and variety in their own unique voice, and greater freedom and ease in breathing. Developed by Catherine Fitzmaurice, who trained at the renowned Central School of Speech and Drama in London, Fitzmaurice Voicework® has continued to evolve over Catherine's illustrious career, teaching and consulting at the Central School, Julliard, Yale, NYU, Harvard, Moscow Arts Theatre, the Stratford Shakespearean Festival, the Guthrie Theatre, and Lincoln Center among others.
