Stanton M. Nelson founded SMN Investments in 1998. SMN Investments has made several investments in real estate, banking, media, oil and gas, and healthcare. Mr. Nelson previously served on the Board of Valliance Bank as their Vice Chairman. In early 2017, Mr Nelson formed an oil and gas mineral buying company, Shadow Creek Minerals, followed by Volution Mineral Company where he is serving as the managing director. In 2021, Mr. Nelson made an investment in Bedrock Gas Solutions, headquarted in Oklahoma City, Ok and recently became its Chief Business Development Officer. Through it patented technology, Bedrock provides onsite subsurface storage of natural gas and hydrogen. Previously, from July 1996 to January Mr. Nelson was the Chief Executive Officer of Monroe-Stephens Broadcasting, a privately-held company that owned and operated radio stations in Southwest Oklahoma and North Texas. Mr. Nelson began his career as a staff member for United States Senator David Boren. Mr. Nelson has a B.B.A. in business management from the University of Oklahoma.
