About Starr Guthrie

I am a Master’s Level Social Worker and Certified Life Coach. I am passionate about providing quality services to individuals struggling with mental and emotional health concerns. I am also passionate about culture, society, and racial equity. I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from North Carolina Central University with a focus on children and families. I hold a provisional license as a Clinical Social Worker and have a background in Education. I implement both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person Centered Treatment interventions in her practice. I have experience providing group and individual support centered on trauma, psychological first aid and substance abuse. I also have experience providing trainings and presentations that center on mental health in the African American community and the impact of racism on mental health. My clinical vision is to assist individuals in finding balance mentally, emotionally, and spiritually in order to create a better life for themselves.
