About Stasiu Chyczewski

I'm a freshly minted Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My doctoral research focused on 2D materials, particularly magnetic and multiferroic systems, with applications in novel electronic and spintronic devices. Most recently, I conducted research at Brookhaven National Laboratory through the DOE SCGSR program. Presently, I'm doing contract work for AI training in the holdover period between graduation and starting as a postdoc in the Åkerman group in Gothenburg, Sweden! I have a strong foundation in both fundamental physics and applied engineering, with coursework spanning quantum mechanics, MEMS, integrated circuits, digital systems, and analog design. Throughout graduate school, I've worked hands-on with cleanroom fabrication, cryogenic systems, magneto-transport measurements, and automated experimental setups. In addition to academic work, I’ve interned at Texas Instruments across three summers, contributing to projects in precision op-amp validation and sensor products. These roles gave me valuable industry experience in product development, simulation, and validation workflows. My interests lie in solving complex problems at the intersection of materials, devices, and systems. I earned my B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida in 2020, graduating summa cum laude.
