About Stavros Tsantis

I was born in Athens, Greece in 1973. I received my Diploma in Biomedical Engineering from Technological Educational Institute of Athens in 1998, MSc in Biomedical Instrumentation Engineering, from University of Dundee in PhD in Medical Physics in the department of Medical Physics University of Patras in 2007, and MSc in Health Management from National School of Public Health in 2014. As regards my professional experience, I've worked as a Biomedical Engineer in GENERAL HOSPITAL OF ELEYSIS ‘THRIASSIO’ from 2003 to 2018. Then I’ve worked as Head of Biomedical Engineering Department in HEALTH DISTRICT OF PIRAEUS AND AEGEAN, ATHENS, GREECE from 2018 to 2019. I have worked as Deputy Director in ATHENS GENERAL CHILDRENS HOSPITAL ‘P&A KYRIAKOY’. Currently I work as General Manager in RHODES GENERAL HOSPITAL. As regards my academic experience, I have published more than 25 Peer-reviewed papers and more than 80 proceedings in international scientific conferences. I have participated in 6 Greek and EU funded research projects and have served as visiting Professor for more than 10 years in Universities of West Attica, Patras and Athens. I’m the author of 2 books regarding physics and instrumentation of Ultrasound.
