Hey there, I'm Steele. I'm a Buyer who is detail-orientated, enthusiastic, and always curious. A buying and category specialist with expertise in footwear, I have over five years of experience in leading and developing category thinking, insights, and strategy. A confident communicator and self-starter, I pride myself on my strong planning, financial acumen, and relationship skills. Over the past few years, I have excelled in Buying and Category-centric roles. Having held previous positions at Hype DC, Pivot, and Platypus Sneakers within Accent Group, I have a deep knowledge of the retail industry and understand what drives commercial and cross-departmental success. Currently, I’m serving as the Buyer at PPG, where I manage all paint accessories nationwide. From liaising with suppliers daily to building robust strategies for category growth, I’m responsible for all buying, risk management, financial monitoring, and KPIs—always thinking of better ways to elevate an assortment to the next level. With a lifelong passion for footwear, fashion and anything outdoors, I have extensive knowledge of sneaker culture and its historical influence in sports, fashion, and music. You'll catch me baking or riding my bike whenever I can. I work on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri/Woiwurrung people of the Kulin Nation. I pay my respects to Elders both past and present, and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and community. Sovereignty was never ceded.
