Completed year 12 at The Peninsula School. Next I studied engineering at RMIT where I learnt to use design software for industry's using auto cad and solid works. after completing the first year of my diploma, I decided it wasn't for me as I much preferred to be in the work shop using my hands rather than in the office. I next completed an apprenticeship in engineering fabrication. I specialised in tig welding. I drive to be a perfectionist trying to make each weld as neat as I can. This has been noticed by my colleagues, who came to me for advice for tips that I had picked up during learning the trade. I worked in the industry for another year before I decided to chase my dreams as a professional cyclist. I had a successful Career as a cyclist. The highlight racing at the top level with world tour team - Garmin Sharp. I specialised in sprinting and team lead outs. Coming from a mountain bike back ground, I could negotiate the cobbles very well during the classics, and cross wind riding due to my positioning skills. I still currently hold the record for the most National road series wins in one year, with 17 Victories in Australia in 2011- Duel National Criterium Champion in 2014, 2015- 7x podium placer at the Australian national championships- World tour stage winner at tour down under in 2015- Won gold at the men’s Commonwealth Games road cycling championships in 2018- Represented Australia at the world championships in Doha in 2016. Now I have come back to Australia, and I’m currently up skilling my welding by doing multiple tickets and completing a cert 4 in engineering fabrication.
