A broad background in commercial organizations, government bodies and health care organizations. Sometimes as an employee, mostly as an entrepreneur. This broad background comes with a wide range of knowledge. • From policy and strategy to implementation • Digitalization and use of data • IT & finance • From EHR implementation to optimalization • Quality assurance and research • Health care financing systems and auditing Usually in a role as manager, project/program leader, advisor or coach. In short; an all-rounder in terms of management & background. In a leadership role I feel that facilitating all members of a department, organization or team to be able to carry out their tasks in the best way possible is essential and the first responsibility of a manager. Take care of your people and they will take care of the organization. Construct & communicate a strategy, goals and waypoints, leave the rest to the professionals. Improving processes, stakeholder management, change management, relation management, good analysis / helicopter view and are some of my strengths. A ‘can do’ mentality is reflected in my motto: ‘Er is altijd ruimte’, meaning as much as ‘there is always a way’. As a general method I analyze problems in a structured way, involving all relevant stakeholders to set out a strategy and the steps needed. You can often find me with a group of people and in front of a whiteboard. Characteristic of my way of working is building internal and external network, acting as a coach for employees and other colleagues and being open to feedback. In addition, I have a very large network in health care (in the Netherlands), both at institutions and all industry and national agencies, which I actively use to resolve complex issues. I communicate easily with anyone from chairman of the board to accountant, from secretary to medic. In general, I bring calmness to organizations (my other motto: ‘Rest & calmness will save the day’) by making tasks, responsibilities and goals (good governance, both in an organization and in projects) clear to everyone and structuring work processes. Finally, I actively keep developing myself by coaching, reading, intervision and training. Both in specific subjects as on management & leadership.
