About Stefan Bourgoin

I have been an Environmental Scientist for my entire professional career, currently with Wiregrass Ecological Associates (WEA), a subsidiary of Southern Forestry Consultants, and previously with Atkins. Previously, I received my undergraduate education at Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, AL, and my Master's of Science in Oceanography from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL, where my Master's research focused on the juvenile nursery-stage of Gag grouper. Atkins is a worldwide design and engineering consulting firm, while Wiregrass Ecological Associates is an environmental consulting firm with a presence in Wildlife Management, Wildlife Hazard Assessments (WHA) to fulfill Federal Aviation Administration requirements, environmental permitting, wetland delineation, pond management, T&E species management and surveying (specifically Red-Cockaded Woodpecker and Gopher Tortoise), and various other natural resource disciplines. I have 10 years experience in the field of Environmental Science (9 with Atkins, 1.5 with WEA); at Atkins, my responsibilities mainly included wetland delineation and mitigation, vegetation monitoring, oil spill recovery, marsh recovery through analysis of Littoraria and various Uca fiddler crab species, habitat recovery, seagrass recovery and monitoring, natural gas pipeline impact recovery, and stream monitoring and restoration (channel creation, macrobenthos, etc.). I also have experience in desktop ArcGIS (ArcMap, ArcPro) techniques and map creation technologies as well as mobile GIS techniques through ESRI Collector.
