About Stefan Cross

Hobby development and my undergraduate experience has given me a wide amount of experience that has allowed me to become familar with common industry technologies such as C, SQL, Java/Javascript, Android/Kotlin and Python while also gaining an understanding of popular frameworks such as JQuery, Vue, React and Django. Mobile applications and various web applications have allowed me to explore different software architectural practices, design patterns annd concepts such as MVVM, MVC, BLOC architectures and REST APIs while working individually and as part of a team while using popular version control technologies. I am always eager to expand my current set of skills to include more languages and technologies whenever the opportunity is available. Currently I have developed a wide amount of projects highlighting different key skills for developing and maintaining large codebases. I’ve found a personal interest during my undergraduate degree in developing mobile and web based interactive applications with a focus on developing them according to best practices while using industry standard architectures. From working with various android applications I have become familiar with popular third party libraries implementing commonly needed skills such as networking, concurrency, asynchronous tasks and database management. These different experiences have resulted in a diverse background of skills which allows me to learn new languages and frameworks as needed to adapt to the current project. Currently I am focused on improving my algorithmic background by working with lower level languages to implement lower level programs and further my understanding of data structure concepts with pratical I also have a fond interest of working on open source projects and I look forward to contributing to larger projects.
