As Director of Operations at the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel, I lead our commitment to delivering exceptional luxury experiences with consistency and flair. Under my leadership, we cultivate a culture of creative problem-solving, collaboration, and operational excellence—key pillars in maintaining our reputation as one of British Columbia’s premier resort destinations. Our team’s dedication is reflected in consistently outstanding guest satisfaction scores, placing us at the top of our competitive set with an average public review rating of 4.5. In 2025, we were proudly recognized by our staff as a certified Great Place to Work, ranked among the top 10% of hotels worldwide on Trip Advisor, and shortlisted as a top-three finalist for the BCHA Accommodation of the Year Award. With a proven track record at Overlander Mountain Lodge, where we secured the "Award of Excellence" from Wine Spectator and achieved top rankings on OpenTable, my focus is on sustaining high service standards. At Northland Properties I led an outdated Sandman Hotel as General Manager through the bigger part of Covid. In 2021, under my leadership the hotel underwent a dramatic improvement process when our location ended up in 2nd place for most improved location in a chain wide guest satisfaction contest. We ranked 9th chainwide regarding public review scores, asserting ourselves against 60+ much more luxurious and modern hotels, such as Sandman Signature and Sutton Place Hotel locations. I was able to elevate the teams performance from a 3.0 to a 4.1 public review score in just 100 days. Our Sun Peaks Grand Hotel team's dedication to excellence has been instrumental in providing an environment where luxury and nature coexist harmoniously. My commitment lies not only in the operational success of our esteemed property but also in the personal growth of our staff, empowering them to deliver exceptional hospitality and make them, one by one, rise and shine.
