Soms duurt het even voor je vindt wat je zoekt. Zo vond ik de zorg. Pas later en als zij-instromer. Na een periode in het Rijnstate ziekenhuis op de bariatrie afdeling nu bij Verian thuiszorg: ik ben helemaal op mijn plek als verpleegkundige. Hier kan ik mijn spreekwoordelijke ei helemaal in kwijt. In in een team voor complexe (thuis)zorg, van langdurige zorg tot soms zeer ad-hoc. Verpleegtechnisch handelen maar met tijd voor de patiënt, in zijn/haar eigen omgeving. Kwaliteit van zorg boven kwantiteit. Het kán. Binnen mijn werk groeit een voorliefde voor palliatief/terminale zorg. Een mooie specialisatie voor de toekomst.
