About Stefan Simovic

If I were to describe myself in three words, they would be passionate, ambitious, and curious. Coming from a hardworking family, I embody those values in everything I do. I am driven to continually enhance my understanding of legislation, techniques, problems, solutions, client demands, and business development. It's not just about working a 9-5 job in building surveying for me; I am dedicated to making a meaningful impact and improving the business I work for to the fullest extent possible. During my time so far in building surveying, I have been incredible privileged to participate in a multitude of residential projects which include the following:> Alterations to existing dwellings.> Extensions to existing dwellings.> New dwellings and associated work (garage, carport, fence, retaining walls).> Unit development (largest development includes 106 dwellings).> Swimming pool and associated barriers. Engaging with a diverse range of projects has taught me invaluable experience. Key learnings from my experiences include:> Assessing compliance under all local legislation to issue building permits.> Assessing all construction documentation associated with building permits.> Assisting in the resolution of Council enforcement notices.> Providing clients with consultation and advice.> Preparing Performance Solution reports for all parts of the Building Code of Australia.> Reviewing and approving Performance Solution documentation.> Dealing with demanding clients, builders, developers and property owners.> Understanding how to develop and maintain relationships. During my free time, construction remains at the forefront of my thoughts. In fact, I have taken the initiative to establish my own company, offering clients a comprehensive range of services that include:> Energy assessments (residential and commercial).> Drafting solutions.> Construction consultation.> Assisting in certification of illegal building work.> Project management.> Obtaining Report and Consent approval.> Preparing Performance Solutions. I am fuelled by immense passion for building surveying, education, and business development. As a result, I have a clear vision for my future, aiming to become a registered building surveyor while progressively advancing into roles such as team leader, manager, and ultimately, managing director.
