About Stefan Urioc

I am a results driven, analytical person, focused on identifying innovation in the public and private sectors. Originally a water and wastewater professional I my attention shifted slightly towards the gap between the public and private sectors, where I'm now channeling my professional energy. I hold a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Water Management from Cranfield University and a Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering from the Agronomic University of Bucharest. In my former roles, I acted as account manager for high-profile companies in the water and wastewater market which subscribe to the BlueTech Intelligence Platform. I also provided project support for custom research projects, and prepared technology overviews for Insight Reports and BlueTech product offerings. I was also active in researching innovative companies and technologies for inclusion into the BlueTech Innovation Tracker, a database that tracks cutting-edge technologies within the water technology space. Previously, I was design engineer for the TAHAL Group, where I worked with water design experts and professors on European Commission-approved water projects, including the rehabilitation and modernization of water and sewage networks in the Constanta and Ialomita regions of Romania. I was also a junior consultant with Becker Consult, specializing in accesing European Cohesion funds. I have authored articles on a range of topics including the use of nanotechnology in desalination and I was an invited speaker at the European Water and Supply and Sanitation Technology Platform (WSSTP) and the Wetsus Congress.
