About Stefani Hadley

I currently serve as the Director of Positive Solutions, a program based in prevention and intervention. In this role I oversee programs that serve both survivors and perpetrators of intimate partner violence domestic violence and trauma. In addition, I helped to build and manage our peer respite home, Blackbird House before it sunset last year. I was originally hired in 2012 to create a cognitive behavioral program, for people on high risk probation. With an emphasis on trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) this program was quite successful, with non recidivism rates upwards of 80 percent. I continue to seek write workshops and presentations for outreach purposes and seek out new opportunities to build on and serve the community. I maintain an interest in attachment and resiliency, and consistently seek out and apply new knowledge to my profession. My position has also included work in juvenile probation, creating curriculum and facilitating groups on teen dating violence and related issues to youths incarcerated in the juvenile system. I continue to seek to expand my unique skill set to our changing world, particularly in a social climate that remains in need of positive change. A former newspaper reporter, I am a writer at heart, and have written articles for our newsletter that highlighted clients who were exhibiting positive change and wanted to share their stories with the world. I strive to lead with both strength and generosity and aim to give a voice to those who have been lost or overlooked.
