About Stefania Monni

Stefania is a senior professional in antenna and microwave technologies with more than 15 years’ experience in High Tech R&D. At TNO Radar Technology department she is responsible for the research activities and the long term strategy of the antenna team. The main focus of her work is on active array antennas for radar, SATCOM and mobile communication. She is one of the main advisors on antenna technology in the frame of the Royal Dutch Navy roadmap for next generation radar sensor suite and she has been supporting the Netherlands Space Office in the preparation of the roadmap on active array antenna technologies. Since 2019 she also with the Chip Integration Technology Centre (CITC) as senior scientist of the Program on Antennas in Package. Since 2020 Stefania is a member of the Board of Directors of European Association on Antennas and Propagation (EurAAP), and since 2018 she represents the Benelux at EurAAP Delegate Assembly. In 2019 she started the Active Array Antenna working group and she is one of the initiators of the Joint Committee EurAAP – EuMA (European Microwave Association) aimed at strengthening the cooperation between the two associations. She has over 70 publications, including journals, peer reviewed conferences, book chapters and patents. Stefania is mother of two lovely girls and she is committed to encourage young women toward a carrier in science and engineering.
