About Stefania Rabasco

I work as a research technician in a shared microscopy core, where my main role is to keep the lab running smoothly and make imaging accessible to people with very different levels of experience.I support users on high-throughput and super-resolution light microscopy by providing hands-on training, helping them set up imaging workflows and protocols, and troubleshooting technical issues. I’m often the first point of contact for new users, and liaise with IT and instrument vendors.My work focuses on enabling good imaging practices: reducing downtime, preventing errors, and making sure people feel confident using complex systems. I also contribute practical input on instrument needs and lab improvements based on day-to-day usage.I enjoy being an approachable and reliable presence in the lab, the person people can ask when they’re not sure where to start or if something isn’t working as expected!
