About Stefania Tuveri
I obtained my PhD in Biomedical Science at KU Leuven, where I worked on cell-free DNA (cfDNA) methylation analysis for early cancer detection and typing for more than four years. This is a cutting-edge and challenging field that requires a combination of skills and expertise in genomics, epigenetics, bioinformatics, and oncology. My research is part of a larger project in the Laboratory for Cytogenetics and Genome Research, led by Professor Vermeesch, where we collaborate with other researchers and clinicians to validate and optimize the analytical methods and the clinical utility of cfDNA analysis. We have presented our findings in international conferences and working toward publications. My goal is to contribute to the advancement the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
