About Stefanie Renner

I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy & Religion (focus on Eastern traditions) with a minor in Cultural Anthropology. During my time there, I completed an honors thesis which included creating a lexicon and spiritual typology to better equip clinicians to help those who are seeking cessation from opioid use. This sparked my interest in healthcare and ultimately led to my pursuit of graduating with a Master's of Healthcare Administration degree from the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May, 2022. I am on a mission to continuously amplify my knowledge on healthcare operations, process and quality improvement, and the practical application of health equity, with an interest in enhancing healthcare business strategies to address population health needs. I have a special interest in novel therapeutic use of alternative medicines and potential for transformation of the pharmaceutical industry in general. My desire to bring my multi-faceted skill set and adaptability to an organization focused on equitable access and innovative, high quality care that centers the patient experience has resulted in my current position as a Strategic Growth Consultant at OU Health. In my free time, I like to take hikes with my dog Asher, watch documentaries with my husband, and foster the growth of my many houseplants. When I have a little extra time, I make trips back to my coastal NC hometown to see family, or visit national parks I haven't been to yet!
