About Stefano Bartolini
I gained a second Master in Geoinformatics, specializing in GIS Studies at the ITC University of Twente (The Netherlands) in 2014. The subject of my thesis was the detection of the damages after natural disasters by aerial oblique images. After completing my first master in Geography (2008), I began to collaborate on a number of special projects at the University of Florence as part of which I developed a strong grounding in GIS and database software, including the use of: ArcGis, Qgis, and SPSS. From July 2012 to June 2013 I worked in a permanent capacity as a research fellow at the University of Florence on a project entitled: “The city of Herat in a regional, national and international context: human and social geographical analysis”. After that I decided to attend a second Master to improve my skills in Earth Observation, Remote Sensing and GIS.
