About Stefano Cuzzi

My name is Stefano, and I am an entrepreneur passionate about mechanics and lathes, as well as a husband and father of four. My career began in my family’s metalworking company, which specialized in producing metal parts with traditional transfer machines. In 2002, a devastating flood severely damaged the machinery and rendered the workshop unusable. After restoring the equipment and reopening the company, I decided to gain additional experience at a company specializing in the use of traditional lathes. Seeing no prospects in that context, I chose to return to my mother’s small company, where I initially purchased four used cam-operated mechanical lathes and, a year later, my first CNC machine. My determination led me to teach myself how to use CNC controls, and thanks to this skill, I was given the opportunity to start my own company in partnership with Brembomatic Pedrali, an established local company. In 2008, Brema was born—a small operation initially consisting of just me, my wife, and a young 18-year-old novice in the field. Over the past 16 years, Brema has grown significantly, now employing 13 people and boasting a fleet of 19 CNC machines. The company continues to evolve and expand steadily. I am not only the owner of my company but also a sports enthusiast. In my youth, I competed in athletics at a competitive level, earning national titles in the 400-meter hurdles (my specialty) and participating in a Junior World Championship in France. My passion for sports has endured over time, teaching me that achieving a goal requires persistence, a willingness to step out of your comfort zone, and that every mistake or failure is a valuable lesson. Above all, I’ve learned never to give up when you have a dream. As I’ve grown older, I’ve developed a love for cycling and mountain activities. These hobbies allow me to pursue my passion, stay active, spend quality time with my family, and enjoy the outdoors.
