Stefano Damiani is a Senior Vice-President in Deloitte’s Financial Advisory group in Toronto and specializes in corporate turnaround and restructuring mandates. Stefano provides advice and support to financial institutions, lending syndicates, corporate boards, senior management, and legal counsel. Stefano’s casework includes advisory, restructuring, monitoring, and corporate finance assignments in a variety of industries including manufacturing, renewable energy, mining, technology, real estate, construction and engineering services, medical services, automotive, retail and distribution, logistics, hospitality, commercial printing, and forest products. Stefano’s turnaround solutions have involved operational changes, evaluation of strategic plans and cash flow projections, divestitures of assets and business units, negotiations with stakeholders, and informal workouts. Stefano has acted in numerous matters before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta as Court-appointed receiver, sales officer, interim receiver, proposal trustee, CCAA monitor, and trustee in bankruptcy. Stefano has also led a large team of lawyers, technology staff, and project managers in a class action administration. Stefano co-chairs a national professional development committee of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals. Stefano has been a speaker and moderator on several panels and webinar presentations.
