Multicultural identity. Passionate about the European Union governance, and political socio-economic mutations in the European society. Combining creativity with pragmatism. Designing solutions for sustainable (and peaceful) human development. Always looking forward for new challenges and learning. Manager, trainer, and researcher. Actively building bridges between India and Europe. Since the last 10 years, I am engaged in creating and managing projects co-financed by the European Commission. Work experiences and academic education involves management of interdisciplinary matters linked to European Union, social sciences, and civil society. In ten year of volunteering experience for the international NGO AFS, I acquire skills in international education management. For the Indian NGO New Life, I led a work group enforcing innovative practices for woman empowerment in the Indian rural society. During my experience at the Centre for European and Transitional Studies at the University of Latvia, I acquired skills in project management, event organization and international collaborations. At the Department of European Studies – Manipal University - I worked for 4 years as a professor in EU governance, coordinating the MA in European Studies, and designing and managing several projects financed by the European Commission. Currently working at Chitkara University, as founder director of the Chitkara Spaak Centre for Multidisciplinary European Studies, professor in EU politics, and coordinator/supervisor of EU funded project in field of European Studies and development and cooperation in the field of higher education. PhD and researcher in the field of EU, transnational democracy and European political parties.
