About Stefano Terranova

Hi, my name is Stefano and I choose to describe myself by another point of view: a letter wrote by Roberta Allevi in order to introduce myself to you.I am Roberta Allevi, doctor in management, finance and international business. I worked with Stefano Terranova at the joint research and teaching program "Smart[er] citizens", organized during our master degree course at the University of Bergamo (Italy) in collaboration with the Harvard Graduate School of Design. According to me, Stefano is a proactive, purposeful and tireless worker. Both in personal and professional life, he always does his best to achieve his goals and to accomplish all the tasks he takes charge of. Sometimes, he is too willful and often follows his instinct: even though this characteristic leads to an excessive impulsivity, it also brings creative and innovative ideas. Moreover, Stefano is an excellent team player: he is able to create and maintain positive and welcoming working environments, building long term relationships with his colleagues and giving his precious contribute to the whole group work. He also has strong attitude for team leading, but he is often too authoritarian; however, the various international and interdisciplinary team activities he did and he is doing are making him aware of this weakness and allow him working on it in order to transform it into a valuable strength. I strongly recommend Stefano for dynamic research activities, both individual and in team. He also shows excellent relational abilities with people from different countries, origins, and social groups, which should be developed and strengthened.
