About Stefano Vinelli

Stefano Vinelli, based in Genova, is active at Leonardo as Head of Digital Solutions, since April 2025, coordinating the divisional Units in charge for demand, delivery and service management related to all digital services and solutions provided to the divisional business. He has been IT Business Partner @ Electronics, Automation, Cyber Security & Solutions Divisions, from July 2022 and April 2025 and IT Business Partner of Aircrafts Division, from November 2018 to July 2022. He covered the role of Head of ICT at Airborne & Space and Land & Naval Electronics Defense Divisions from Jan 2016 to October 2018 From Jan. to Dec. 2015 he served as Chief Information Officer Selex ES, International player within Finmeccanica, enabling the integration of the former Op.Co’s in the New Company not only from an IT stand point also being in charge for business processes reengineering, mainly in Project Management & Control area. Prior to joining Selex, Stefano was with Ansaldo STS, Leading technology Group within the global Railway & Mass Transit Transportation Systems business, from 2006 to 2014. In ASTS he was a Business Process Analyst working in AFC area, participating to the IPO process, before being appointed as Vice President IT Application Management with the responsibility of the IT worldwide integration program, supporting the transformation of the Group into One Company (Global SAP / PLM / Reporting models implementation) During 2014 he also served as VP Integrated Planning responsible for the monitoring of major programs effectiveness and efficiency worldwide. From 1998 to 2006 he was an Information Technology Business Consultant engaged in multiple sectors serving clients in Europe and North America. He started his professional path at Willis Corroon, Insurance Broker in London, where he worked from 1995 to 1996 before earning his Degree in Economics at Università di Genova. Stefano is married and has two daughters, he loves sports, particularly trekking and skiing with his Family and trail running.
