About Stefano Wrobleski

I am the executive director of InfoAmazonia, where I lead the overall strategy, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the organization's financial sustainability. My day-to-day work involves alternating between establishing partnerships with other organizations, preparing proposals for funders, monitoring budgets, supervising data and technology infrastructure, and building protocols and activity flows. I am also an advisory board member of the Digital Journalism Association (Ajor) and vice president of the Brazilian Environmental Journalism Network (RBJA) for the 2025-2027 term. With degrees in Journalism (PUC-SP) and History (USP) and a master's degree in Digital Journalism from ISE Business School, I have been working in data journalism and environmental projects for over ten years. Before joining InfoAmazonia, I served as the geojournalism coordinator at the Earth Journalism Network/Internews, a reporter at Repórter Brasil, and a trainee at Estadão. Fluent in English and Spanish, I coordinate networks in Brazil and other Latin American countries and direct projects that have brought recognition to our team, such as the Gabriel García Márquez, Online Journalism Awards, Vladimir Herzog, and Cláudio Weber Abramo awards. I believe in combining technology, networks, and narratives to expand access to quality socio-environmental information.
