About Stefano Zanoni

As an experienced executive with over 15 years in the sustainability, energy and environmental sectors, I have dedicated my career to transforming global energy strategies. My work focuses on driving initiatives that significantly reduce CO2 emissions and optimize energy resources on a global scale. My journey has taken me across Europe and the Americas, where I have lived, worked and led multicultural teams to achieve substantial business and environmental outcomes. Currently, I am the Group Head of Energy Transition at Fedrigoni, a leader in the production of high-quality specialty papers and self-adhesive solutions. In this role, I oversee comprehensive energy management, including procurement, risk management, energy efficiency and decarbonization initiatives. My efforts have led to the development of a Decarbonization Plan through 2028, detailing specific actions for each plant to reduce CO2 emissions. Additionally, I participated in the due diligence process for a major acquisition, which was successfully completed and followed by a successful restructuring. My professional journey is driven by a strong commitment to integrity, transparency and delivering on promises. I thrive in dynamic and challenging environments, leveraging my strategic vision to drive impactful change. I am passionate about continuous learning and have complemented my professional experience with an MBA and a course in Sustainability Leadership and Corporate Responsibility from the London Business School. My key competencies include strategic planning and business development, financial management and control, contract negotiations and due diligence, implementation of sustainability and CO2 reduction projects, management of multicultural and international teams, leadership and change management, optimization of energy resources, development of strategic partnerships and management of complex and international projects.
