In my current role with Daiichi Sankyo, I lead the Global HR Communication function, where I ensure that the company's ongoing HR transformation initiatives are effectively communicated, understood, and embraced across the organization. This role bridges the gap between complex HR changes and the employees impacted by those changes, ensuring that messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with strategic objectives. By crafting and delivering compelling communication strategies, the role plays a pivotal part in fostering employee engagement, reducing resistance to change, and ensuring the successful realization of Daiichi Sankyo's mission to create innovative pharmaceuticals which meet diverse medical needs. In my career to date, I have gained extensive experience navigating the unique landscape of Japan's labour market, given my dual background in foreign capital firms like Goldman Sachs and traditional Japanese companies such as Takeda. My journey as an HR leader has taken me through roles ranging from HR Business Partner to Talent Management and Learning and Development. This has equipped me with a multifaceted perspective on the challenges and opportunities within HR, enabling me to think creatively and offer innovative solutions. Beyond my professional endeavours, I find balance and inspiration in nature. Hiking through Japan's breathtaking landscapes and unwinding in its serene hot springs recharge my spirit and fuel my creativity. These experiences remind me of the importance of wellness and perspective, principles I incorporate into my HR practices. Finally, I aspire to help mid-career HR professionals rediscover meaning and momentum, not by chasing the next title but by reconnecting with their own value, voice, and self-driven vision.
