About Steffen Roller

Starting with component testing in the new company BMW Rolls-Royce after my aeronautical studies I developed through a time as validation engineer of aero-engine components into the design & make process of control system components including technical support, selection and control of intzernational suppliers. Durig this time I fulfilled as well the role of an internal and external auditor before I went to become a service engineer for the V2500 fleet working with various international airlines and customers. In the next important career step I changed to Siemens Energy working as Project Manager for projects in south-east asia combining my technical skills with the leadership of multi-national teams taking commercial responsibility for projects with strong focus on customer satisfaction and an active sales role. We started to implement project design thinking and agile methods for process improvements. However as active glider pilot I never left my technical engineering basis and privately took responisbility for the maintenence of motorgliders (motor and fibre component cells) based on specific courses and my skills aquired during my time in the Akaflieg Stuttgart.
