About Steffi Acevedo

I specialize in connecting people with art through various channels including teaching children, instructing adult classes, creating workshops for people with disabilities, as well as through producing my own artwork and commissions. Resourceful, creative and ambitious are words I would use to describe myself and my work. After attending Concordia University for Fine Arts and a lifetime of art exposure, I have chosen to continue this path of incorporating creative thinking into various aspects of my life and jobs. I have extensive experience in customer service by working in the Food and Hospitality Industry. Leadership, strong administrative and communication skills are all tools I have gained through years of working at Monart Art School as both an art instructor and program administrator. I work hard for causes I believe in, love traveling and enjoy running 5ks exclusively. I have a passion and curiosity for the field of Art therapy and the amazing power the arts bring to individuals and enrich communities. Some of my community involvement work includes creating large scale works of art in support of local charities; including a permanently displayed collaboration in the Ottawa General Hospital,(Mother and Child, 2015). Through Steffi Acevedo Art, I am actively able to create works of art for various clients and businesses in Ottawa including the Southway Inn Hotel and Little Rays Reptile Zoo.
