About Stella Koenig
As a junior from Austria studying International Relations and East Asian Studies with a Japan concentration at Connecticut College, I am interested specifically in environmental politics as well as migration studies. I am also a selected scholar for the Toor Cummings Center for International Studies and the Liberal Arts (CISLA), which has enabled me to further focus on my Japanese language studies. In the summer of 2023, I took part in Middlebury Language Schools' 8-week intensive Japanese program, throughout which I was able to progress to upper intermediate proficiency. I will be studying abroad in Kyoto in Spring 2024, after which I am set to complete an internship in Japan as part of the CISLA program.
