About Stella Rothe

Hello! I'm Stella, a writer, dancer, and performance artist in Metro Detroit, MI. I hold a Masters in Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Stetson University (FL), and I'm available for teaching, creative output, and performance, as well as art modeling (university and conservatory only). A lifelong background in classical ballet taught me dedication, collaboration, and discipline, while my degrees in creative writing and English literature have honed my ability to think and work academically and creatively. Locally, I have performed extensively via art galleries and theaters, most notably supernumerary work w/ American Ballet Theatre at Detroit Opera House (Knitting Lady: Sleeping Beauty,'16; Elegant Lady: Romeo and Juliet,'18). I had the privilege to briefly rehearse (as a super) under Alexei Ratmanski, former artistic director of the Bolshoi Ballet. Extensive experience in theater, inc. classical music, actor, director, producer, assistant director, choreographer, and assistant costumer. Former children's theater presenter and actor at Port Huron public schools, on the topic of sexual abuse prevention and personal safety. Theatrical resume available. Proud alumna of several honors societies, inc. Tau Sigma, Sigma Tau Delta, Golden Key International, and Phi Beta Kappa. I frequently made various Dean's Lists, and in 2020 my GPA was ranked top 15% at Oakland University. I co-founded and held positions in the Macomb College Writing Club, including two years serving as president, during which time we won several awards. My passion for creativity and the arts drives me forward every day, and I love being a part of the imagination, creative growth, and intellectual output of others.
