About Steph Pretorius

I enjoy designing and building impactful communication, products and services which solve tangible problems. I use human-centred design and agile methodologies while leveraging data and analytical insights to inform strategic decisions and drive development. I believe that the best solutions and experiences are achieved when customers find value in products and services which address their needs while feeling respected and understood. To achieve this I apply an outcomes based approach which prioritises user engagement and behaviour as objectives to drive discovery, problem solving, and decision making in design solutions. I have extensive experience in strategic and design thinking, and applying agile and lean methodologies to service, product, user experience, interface and visual design. I work across varying digital platforms including native mobile application, responsive web application, e-commerce platforms, web design, infographics and communication design. Additionally I have worked in marketing, branding and editorial print design and production. I collaborate and work with a range of businesses, start-ups, established brands, corporates and agencies in South Africa, the United States and Europe. My product and industry focus has varied from financial technology, cycling, education, social impact, finance, energy, business intelligence, risk management and cyber security.
