About Stephan Marchant

As a creative innovator I have a passion for people, movement and playfulness. I like to move people, both literally and figuratively speaking. On the one hand, this is reflected in my active role within the field of Dance & Movement Therapy. I am a lecturer Positive Psychology & Creative Processes and I have been working for years as a facilitator of creative processes within my own practice Move2Create, where I use dance and movement for human growth and connection. On the other hand, I have build up experience and expertise in the field of learning and development processes, organizational culture, well-being and experiential learning in various contexts. My very first book, Dansen door het leven, was published in 2024. This is an inspirational book for anyone who wants to use dance and movement for human growth and connection. It is for all facilitators who are curious about experiential learning and want to know more about the use of embodied, creative and expressive methods. Deep within me lives an explorer, naturally curious about what is (still) possible, what can be done differently and what is innovative. By exploring unknown environments and looking for new experiences, I come to original ideas, insights and inspiration that I like to bring into reality on a project basis together with others. I get into flow when, in an environment of trust, I can make a (creative) contribution to a larger cause based on my own strengths. In addition, I am at my best when I can inspire and enthuse people so that they can take the next step themselves. I like to surf on the existing vibe and then give input from my own perspective and personal expertise.
