About Stephan Rogalla

I am a physician-scientist with interest in translational oncology and immunology with over a decade of experience in gastrointestinal (GI) oncology, molecular imaging, and immunology. I currently serve as Medical Director and Clinical Lead at Riboscience, where I oversee a Phase 1a/b clinical trial of an ENPP1 inhibitor (RBS2418) in advanced solid tumors. My academic role as Assistant Professor at Stanford University complements my industry work, with a focus on early cancer detection, therapeutic resistance, and biomarker discovery in IBD-associated colorectal cancer. I lead multi-site clinical trials, co-develop translational biomarker strategies with industry partners, and direct NIH-funded research programs using cutting-edge technologies such as single-cell RNA-seq, spatial omics, and fluorescence-guided imaging. I thrive at the interface of clinical insight and translational development, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, navigate regulatory processes, and translate mechanistic discovery into clinical action.
