About Stephan Vaneau

I’ve been employed in P&C Insurance since 2016. My roles over the years range from simply adjusting property claims in the field to later auditing/grading adjusters’ files. However, now I oversee the administration of relevant claim inquiries and documents from a desk. Overall, it has been an eclectic experience which lead to my curiosity for careers available in the world of business. This interest motivated me to pursue a Master’s in Business Administration from The University of Texas at Dallas which fit my previous occupation's requirement where I travelEd state to state assisting local offices with their claims. In my third semester enrolled, I took a Financial Management course with Dr. Day, and it was his class that revealed to me a longing to study finance. So, I am also in the process of receiving my Master's in Finance concentrated in analytics. I love mathematics, especially when I get to use it creatively to solve problems. My goal is to continue my education in finance over the next couple of years, eventually accept my degree as validation to my credibility, and capably perform as a financial analyst. A company that values a quantitative approach, removing any emotional ambiguity to making investment decisions, would be ideal. I love to travel in my free time. I’ve been to many countries in Asia, Europe, and the Americas to help broaden my view of the world. I am a self-proclaimed “health-nut.” Bikram Yoga, HITT, and participating in intramural sports are my weekly physical activities. I also stay current with nutritional health-trends, so I can put my bachelor’s to use and offer advice to my colleagues, friends, and family. I believe I’ve found my calling in life, and I’m driven towards making this professional dream a reality.
