About Stephane Rombauts
From the beginning of my career I was involved in genome project, more precisely gene prediction. I designed the methodology implemented in the Eugene prediction software. Using this software I was involved in annotation of different plants like Poplar, Tomato, diverse algae like Ostreococcus, Micromonas, Bathycoccus, and Arthropods such as the spider mites (Tetranychus, Aculops), the insect Copidosoma floridanum or the crustacean Artemia franciscana. With the democratization of the sequencing of the last years I started to manage whole genome projects, from the design of the sequencing strategies, doing the assembly and the gene prediction and providing the results through the web portal developed in house.
