About Stephane Wilkerson

I recently obtained a Master of Science in Administration Leadership in May 2023 from Central Michigan University. I hold a BA of science Major in Community Development with concentration in Community Service through Central Michigan University. I have worked previously in public school system with regular and special education settings. I have also previously worked for the State of Michigan as a Children’s Foster care Specialist. Currently I am overseeing and managing a regional office for a local home health care company in St. Joseph, MI. My long-term goal has been to secure a position where I can be effective in others’ lives to improve their quality of life and achieve their goals through any stage of life. I enjoyed collaborating with people of all ages and through my degree progress and work history my passion is working with young children and adolescent. My previous work at DHHS has included mentoring and monitoring youth and families that were experiencing problems with neglect, physical, and substance abuse. Maintaining records of progress and areas for improvement, facilitating collaborative meetings, working with law officials and other professionals to create plan of action for best outcomes. This has afforded me the opportunity to acquire valuable knowledge of social service programs, child and family support, and operational coordination. My communication strengths and ability to connect with children of all ages and establish trusting relationships position me to thrice in this challenging field. I have worked as a substitute teaching in k-12 (regular and special education) classrooms in the absence of a teacher and collaborating with behavior interventional specialists in working with vulnerable children along with their families.
