About Stephanie A. Haddad

I am a hematology/oncology fellow and current Chief Wellness Fellow at UT Health San Antonio/Mays Cancer Center. I completed my internal medicine residency at Brown University/Kent Hospital. I am interested in an academic-based clinical practice in medical oncology with a primary focus on breast oncology and clinical research involving clinical trials. During residency, I was the social media manager for the Brown University/Kent Hospital Internal Medicine Residency. I am also the Internal Medicine Ambassador and Head of Mentorship and Awareness for the American College of Physicians Rhode Island Chapter Residency Council for the Brown University/Kent Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program. Prior to medical school, I worked as a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator/Clinical Research Assistant at the Massachusetts General Hospital: Cancer Center in Breast Oncology. Collaborating with the attending physicians, nurses, and a research team, I screened potential patients for eligibility, performed screening assessments, enrolled patients in clinical trials, and coordinated all protocol-required appointments and exams. I managed the data collection for all patients enrolled in clinical trials. I was the lead clinical research coordinator/assistant on over 10 breast cancer trials, including SOLAR-1, TRINITI-1, ATEMPT, and MONALEESA-7. My clinical responsibilities include performing EKGs, taking vital signs, and processing and shipping blood, tissue, and urine. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a Biochemistry Concentration from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. I was also enrolled in the Health Advisory Program. As an undergraduate, I worked as a research assistant in the Bellin Lab at Holy Cross. Additionally, I held previous research experiences as an undergraduate research assistant in the Yao Lab at Harvard Medical School's New England Primate Research Center. Throughout my undergraduate, I held several leadership positions.
