About Stephanie Chen

With over 12 years of experience in the epilepsy field, I am adept at managing a wide range of epilepsy cases, including medically and surgically refractory patients. In my prior role at Barrow Neurological Institute, one of my key achievements was streamlining our surgical pathway, which resulted in increasing our intracranial monitoring cases. Over my years in epilepsy care, I have taken on diverse responsibilities, including admitting patients to the epilepsy monitoring unit, training nurses on seizure assessments, managing pregnant women with epilepsy, programming neuromodulation devices, and facilitating the PACES epilepsy self-management group. While I am passionate about providing direct patient care, I am equally passionate about program coordination, problem-solving, and quality improvement initiatives that enhance both patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.
