About Stephanie Commanda

As a third-year honour roll student who is attending the three-year Law Clerk Advanced Program at Durham College, I have become skilled at utilizing research databases such as CanLII, Quicklaw and Westlaw to quickly locate relevant statutes and cases to support legal memoranda, and am familiar with O’Brien’s precedent services for the preparation of retainers, motions, affidavits and discovery documentation. Further, my 19 years within the Federal Government has contributed to my ability to quickly adapt to the policies, procedures and processes of either a government or private sector position. My knowledge, ability to conduct research, strong attention to detail and ability to methodically organize, prioritize and quickly manage various tasks, as well as work with many personalities in a team environment, are skills that contribute to the management of stressful situations that are created within a fast paced work environment.Throughout my career within the Federal Government, I have received the Director General Instant Award, Merit Award, Director General Award, Certificate of Achievement for my work within the Community Access Program, Leadership Through Collaboration Award, and a certificate for my participation in the 2003 Youth Connect campaign for the Ontario Federal Council. Through my education, I have received the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Training Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Material Information System Training Certificate, Worker Health and Safety Awareness Certificate, and the Workplace Violence and Training Prevention Training Certificate.
