About Stephanie Dryden-Cripton

I am an environmental consultant and project manager with over seventeen years of combined experience in environmental and social due diligence (ESDD), environmental and social compliance monitoring (ESCM), environmental and socio-economic impact assessments (ESIA), permitting and approvals, stakeholder engagement, and research. I have supported a range of international, federal and provincial environmental assessment processes through planning and permitting phases from both technical and project management aspects, including preparation of ESIAs, particularly with energy (nuclear, electrical transmission, hydroelectric and renewables), oil and gas, and infrastructure projects. Most recently I have been working with an international team for the delivery of ESDD and ESCM of cellulose mill, LNG, power plant, fertilizer, and storm and sanitary water sanitation projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. Undertaken on behalf of International Financial Institutions (IFI) and private clients, these projects involve review and evaluation with respect to adherence to accepted international standards such as IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles, World Bank Group Environmental Health and Safety Guidelines, and others where applicable. Previously I also undertook research opportunities associated with agricultural drought mitigation measures assessment across Canada, agricultural socio-economic conditions in Ontario, and water allocation and watershed characterization projects. My education in geography led to a masters degree in Chinese socio-economic/agricultural policy with research undertaken internationally. Professional projects associated with these roles have provided me with experience in various forms of consultation and engagement with agencies at all levels of government, stakeholders, public and Indigenous communities; coordination of complex, multi-disciplinary project teams and field programs; and project management of a range of infrastructure, resource and research projects associated with varied regulatory requirements.
