About Stephanie Hicks

I am a certified and licensed APRN - AGCNS-BC, with prescriptive authority. I have extensive experience in Critical Care/ICU bedside care experience as my background. Target Roles involve the direct care of adult patients in an inpatient clinical practice setting as an AGCNS-BC that specializes in Critical Care. Patient population interests and strengths include the general medical/surgical intensive care patients, trauma, and cardiovascular patients. The mantra of a clinical nurse specialist is to bridge the gaps between evidence-based practice and direct patient care. I am most interested in the direct provision of patient care, the process of discovering evidence through evidenced-based practice, nursing research projects, and or medical research opportunities, educating bedside nursing staff via formal and informal learning, and being available to be a change agent at the system/organization level. Patient quality and safety is my highest priority. I am driven and motivated to provide the care and enlist the resources necessary that all patients deserve. Loyalty and commitment is also a must with any relationship I have with an employer. Establishing trust is paramount to my employment satisfaction as well as giving an employer confidence that their decision to hire me was a sound one.
