Stephanie Hollander is the Coordinator of the Center for Community College Partnerships at SUNY Oneonta, where she plays a key role in supporting transfer students through the development of strong academic and career pathways between community colleges and four-year institutions. Prior to SUNY Oneonta, she served as the Associate Director of Career Development at Hartwick College, where she led initiatives for career readiness and internship programs, and successfully created and launched Industry Day—an event that resulted in a remarkable 260% increase in faculty partnerships within just one year. Additionally, she developed targeted networking opportunities and career support for first-generation students, helping them build valuable professional connections and navigate their career paths with greater confidence.In addition to her work in higher education, she is an accomplished horn professor and player, teaching at Syracuse University, Hartwick College, and Bard College. She is 4th horn with the Catskill symphony Orchestra and has performed with renowned groups including; the Hudson Valley Philharmonic, Albany Symphony, Rock Topia at Bethel Woods, and Woodstock Chamber Orchestra. Stephanie’s performances have taken her to prestigious music venues in the United States, Italy, and Cuba.Stephanie’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Music in horn performance from the University of Cincinnati (CCM), followed by a graduate teaching assistantship at the Eastman School of Music, where she earned her Master of Music in horn performance. She continued her studies with a fellowship at Bard College Conservatory, earning an Artist Performers Certificate, and later received a Professional Studies Certificate from the Manhattan School of Music as a recipient of the 2016-2017 Richard E. Adams Scholarship.Stephanie is passionate about helping artists balance their creative careers with the realities of the day-to-day challenges in the industry. She has delivered presentations at SUNY Purchase, College-Conservatory of Music, University of Central Oklahoma, Mississippi State University, and the North Carolina School of the Arts. In 2018, she presented “Graduation, Now What?” at the Northeast Horn Workshop and has been featured on several podcasts discussing the life of a freelance musician and career building. In 2022, she was honored to speak at Syracuse University’s Tau Beta Sigma Women in Music Speaker Series.Fluent in Spanish, Stephanie takes pride in her multicultural background and enjoys spending time with her husband, two boys, and their cat.
