About Stephanie Kather

I am currently a Delta Airlines flight attendant, however, I am very focused on continuing my education and pursuing medical school in hopes of becoming a dermatologist. Dermatology is very important to me because skin makes up the entire body. It is important for us to know how skin works, the genetic differences in skin, how to properly care for and protect our skin and things that can happen with the skin such as diseases(cancer) and irregularities. Often times, many people don't realize how important it is to be aware of your skin before something that could have been dealt with sooner than later could impact your life and well being. I do not have any experience in dermatology however, I was a corporate manager for 17 orthodontic offices for 3 years so I am familiar with working in a patient setting. I also was a team trainer at Taco Bell for 3 years as well throughout high school, I was very dedicated to my job and I would put in 40 hours per week as a student and I know that same dedication and determination will get me through school. When I graduated high school, I also started working at a hospital in the dietary department, in addition to being a team trainer, and while working in a hospital, I was able to again, being in a patient setting that gave me the realization of how much I was interested in medicine and science and being apart of the medical field. Because not only did I get to be around the patients all day, but I realized very quickly how different circumstances were for every patient. I know that all of these things have led me to where I am today and will get me to where I want to be.
