About Stephanie Lariviere

Stephanie is the Managing Director and Head of FICC Sales at Scotiabank, a role she has held since February 2024. Stephanie joined Scotiabank in 2021 to oversee advisory and execution services for retail, commercial, corporate, and institutional clients for their hedging and investment needs for currency, commodity, and interest rates. She was also responsible for risk solutions structuring, FX strategy, and FX electronic trading. Prior to joining Scotiabank, Stephanie spent more than 17 years at National Bank of Canada where she held increasingly senior roles across business segments in their Capital Markets Group. She began her career in New York City, with financial software company, Murex, one of the world’s leading capital markets technology solutions companies. Stephanie is a passionate advocate for supporting young people in her community. She has been a Major Donors Cabinet Member for Centraide du Grand Montréal (United Way of Greater Montreal) for nearly seven years, and actively volunteers with charities that seek to improve the lives and wellbeing of children. Within the Bank, Stephanie is a vocal proponent for supporting junior professionals in their personal and professional development, serving as both a mentor and sponsor. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from HEC Montreal and an executive MBA from Queen’s University. She is a CFA Charterholder and has a Chartered Director designation.
