Background
About Stephanie Lo
Stephanie graduated with honours from Georgian College as a Food and Nutrition Manager focusing on nutrition and gut health. Helping patients heal from the inside out and how their role as a nutritionist can contribute to other health specialities. Whether it be helping patients recover with food while doing therapy, or helping them achieve their goals of weight gain, loss, or maintenance. Educating patients on how to develop a healthy relationship with food is another passion of theirs. Their many years as a Chef allow them to be culturally diverse in helping create menu plans and dishes for meal prepping. They are very accommodating and respectful of their patients' and clients' preferences. Their approach is compassionate, non-judgemental, honest, and effective. Outside of their professional life, Stephanie is very active in the community. They have prepared thousands of meals especially during COVID for those who were experiencing food insecurity and for several shelters and co-ops across the city of Toronto. They were also on the administrator team of the CareMongering-TO group founded by Mita Hans. Stephanie is the Founder of Mama Lo's Bakery & Kitchen - an online bakery that provides cupcakes and cakes for all occasions, including cakes for dogs! They also do catering and menu developments for private functions and events. They are looking forward to helping as many people as they can and to continue food sharing with the community as well. Changing the world, one bite at a time."Cook with respect, purpose, and heart. Nutritious food should not be a luxury. It is a basic human right."
