About Stephanie Najbart

My current position is with SSM Health Care, The Weight Loss Institute. Using my degree in Mental Health Counseling and recent certification as a Board Certified Bariatric Counselor, I provide psychological evaluations, individual and group counseling to individuals who struggle with weight loss and are interested in surgical or non-surgical intervention. In addition, I have six year experience working with children, families and support agencies within the foster care setting. I have not only served as a mental health therapist for children ages four through seventeen, but also completed comprehensive assessments which is an all-inclusive assessment of a child’s functioning within the home, school and community. Also, I have worked in two residential settings. One being a level six court ordered facility for adolescent males and the other being a six person foster care home with one houseparent. Specialties: I have experience working with a range of diagnosis including: mood, anxiety disorders and behavior disorders. In addition, I am experienced in play therapy.
